Choose something everybody can talk about, based on general knowledge. An example might be ‘I believe all cars should be banned to protect the environment’. Whatever you select, it is important that you hold a firm viewpoint. At the start of each of the three sessions, the person who has the role of Listener will tell the Speaker what the Listeners choice of topic is and the direct ion in which his or her beliefs lie. Your speech satisfies the listeners. You should present the speech, so that all the listeners have to get benefit of your speech.

The Elephant is the largest land animal. A fully grown elephant reaches a height of 4 mts and a weight of 6 metric tons. Tusks and Trunks are important features of an elephant. Tusks are of ivory. They are the prolonged upper teeth of the elephant. Objects made of ivory have a demand in the black market. Hence many elephants are poached even today. Trunk is the lengthened nose and upper lip. Elephants use them as hands to pick leaves and twigs. Asian elephant is smaller than its African counterpart. It weighs only 3.5 metric tons and is 2.75 mts tall. Asian elephants can be easily tamed. They sleep lying down. African elephants are wild and sleep upright.

Summarizing is an important skill, for all students are constantly required to summarize their lessons and all other materials that they read. It is easier to comprehend and remember summarized versions of lessons and other materials rather than the original versions which may be lengthy. Steps to be followed while summarizing are, since each paragraph revolves around a key sentence i.e., known as the topic sentence, identify the topic sentence. Usually, the topic sentence is placed either at the beginning or the end of the paragraph. Identify all key words and expressions. Summarizes should contain only essential points. Write down all key words and expressions along with the topic sentences separately. Put them together in the form of a paragraph.
