Working with others by being assertive

Speak with clear voice and be direct, do not make excuses or start off by apologizing. Use I statements as a way of telling people how you feel and or what you want. Be specific that is words such as might and may be suggest indecision, should and will are more demanding and are aggressive in tone. Finally, listen to what people are saying, stay calm and use summarizing to avoid any misunderstandings. Being assertive is very important while we are engaged in work with others, that’s because, managing work with others and getting a good result is not that much easy. So always be assertive in certain period of time.
