Running, start slowly

You have decided to put yourself in the running. Baskets pavement, you are in the park, but you do not know how to begin.
Go gently. Start perhaps 5 minutes of brisk walking, and then quietly scampering. Once a point later arises, try to walk a few minutes.
Initially run on two songs, and then get walking for one. The music is quite encouraging, and often forgets the effort.
I tried this method this weekend and I found the experience very positive. It seems to be able to take longer, and it is quite challenging to boot.
